Here is the Rule (READ THIS)

Since there is so much confusion between mods, players, and admins, I am going to put the rule on the forums so that you cant say that you did not read it. A couple of them actually.

Griefing:

- If you break a block to get into a chest, it is COMPLETELY LEGAL, as long as you replace the block in the EXACT same place with the EXACT same block. If you want to lock your chests, you can use lwc or donate to get more lwc's its that simple. Blocks over chests are not a way to protect your items.

- If you break a block to get into an area, if you replace the block exactly as it was, with the same block, it is not griefing because nothing was actually destroyed, no work was destroyed.

- 1x1 Griefing towers are ILLEGAL and will result in a ban. If youre using them to get over walls, or into towns, as long as you take them down there will be no problem, but if 1x1 towers are left up, it will consist of a ban.

PVP

-Heroes skills are exempt from any ban rule, tp wise.

- You can NEVER tp out of PVP, NEVER. The only way to get away from PVP is to run to a safe zone or run away.

- Safezone abuse consists of starting a fight and running back into a safe zone, OR being attacked, attacking back and then running into a safe zone. IF you dont want to PVP just turn and run, if you get to a safe zone by running there, and you never hit back, then you are fine and will not recieve a ban.

- Spawn Camping is 10 blocks, if you are more then 10 blocks away from them when they respawn, it is not spawn camping. IF you are within the 10 block radius and you kill the person again, it will result in a ban.

- Safe Zone Camping consists of camping areas that are safe zones for an extended period of time, killing anything that moves. If youre going to kill, move about the server, dont stay in one area for a long time, if you do, you will be banned.

- Extended periods for camping is 30 mins, if youre camping an area for over 30 mins you will more then likely be banned, so be smart. This includes towns as well. You may not return to camp again for at least 2 hours. Do not leave for 5-10 minutes and expect to go back for another 30 mins of camping. You must wait 2 hours.

IF you have any questions, write back on here and ask, but as of right now, these are the rules established by the ADMINS and OWNERS. IF you get banned and you believe that your ban was not legit, look into this and tell the mod/admin to check your ban and put in an appeal.

its hard to say on recall because we cant honestly tell if its the skill or tp without looking at the console, thats a questionable one, ill speak with the other admins about it.

There's a couple ways you could get around that sort of, if you're near someone then it shows that the skill was used in chat if you're nearby but the person could just lie. Another way is to get a mod to tp to the person and see where they are, if they're at spawn or a town spawn then they've used a command, if not then they've used recall. Just a couple thoughts that could work temporarily.

something i saw on another server that helped prevent tping out of combat was putting in a timer. if you moved before three seconds was up, the /spawn or /home would be canceled, even if its from lava or a mob or some such thing. it basically forced someone to run far enough that they could be considered to have escaped before they could tp away. i wouldnt do that for recall, which is a skill, but for spawning and t spawning and whatnot, i'd set the timer up.

Yea, I've played a few MMO's ((SWTOR )) in the past few months, and they all had something in common. They all have some sort of Teleportation, but it takes a few seconds to charge up, and has a cooldown of 30 min. Possibly something like this could be incorperated instead of the crazy high redstone-costs

Yea, most likely a Once Every like 3 hours though, and a 15 second warm up. And, if it could be coded that it could only be placed within So many blocks of your town or spawn, so people dont put it into an enemy town

now i wouldnt go that far, since a smart builder wouldnt have to worry about an enemy in their town. I for example, could think of a myriad of ways to keep most people from getting anywhere even if they DID use recall to get in.

This is turning into a discussion about hero's, maybe we should move that talk to the thread from now on? Anyways, I think the three hour cooldown is taking it way too far, I have basically a second home in Old Ender and if I wanted to move some stuff around it would be extremely difficult. The cooldown is fine as is I think but a warm up would work well enough, but how easy would it be to code it so the warm-up was cancelled if the person took damage? <(directed at Pajos)
