One of my friends is 14 and is a rodie/sound technician for his dad, some people just get into that sort of thing fairly young if they know someone in that business.

Whoah, pause-> how can you be 15 when you are a theater tech? Because I've been doing theater work at school and in the community since grade 5. Also, I've had training from professionals. I occasionally work at other schools and theaters, but I'm the resident technician at one. We have a big fancy theater and air a lot of shows in the spring. Also the city uses it for ceremonies and the like, so I work there a lot. I'm the only tech, except for a younger guy named Bryan I've been training to take care of sound for me. Otherwise, I maintenance and run that theater's lights and sound on a wire-thin budget all by my lonesome. |
