Stories – A Duel of Testing
After being rescued by Zicamgar from a slow and painful death by internal bleeding, Kazimir had grown familiar with his surroundings in Rull. He copied Earth’s way of the mercenary, selling his services for board, pay and magical enchantments. One day, when he was hunting in the woods, he heard a sound. Shuffle shuffle shuffle. Kazimir tensed. Who was that? Shuffle shuffle shuffle. The knight silently put back his arbalest, and took out Hellsmiter, which was now enchanted so that it could set enemies on fire with a mere scratch. Through the forest, Kazimir silently walked, careful that he didn’t step on any leaves. He then glimpsed at the approacher.
It was a hooded man, wielding a cruel-looking dagger and a short bow with iron-tipped arrows, and followed by what seemed to be a sibling to him. “These two could be trouble. I better incapacitate them quickly.” Thought the Polish knight. Kazimir took out his Arbalest, and stalked the two for some while, and when he grew tired of waiting he preceded to target the younger one with his crossbow. Kazimir held his breath. He aimed down the sights, and…just missed the shoulder of the man’s brother, the bolt swooshing past, leaving a bloody scrape. The hooded man turned around, and saw the Polish knight. The man drew back his bow, and the arrow pitifully connected with my shield. “Heh. You’ll need more than that.” muttered Kazimir. The knight then took out his Warhammer, and charged the two. He shield bashed the younger brother, tossing him into the air, and swung at the hooded person. But he was (understandably) agile, and easily dodged the attack. The hussar quickly got out Hellsmiter, and dueled with the hooded man. “So. What’s your name?” Kazimir inquired, while dueling with him. “Alcermere. Alcemere Buldore.” Said the man, all the while dodging attacks by the hammer. “Ah. Okay, then. Think fast!” Kazimir did a daring strike to the knees, setting the man on fire. The knight then kicked him towards a lake, and the water doused the flames. The knight then reached out a hand. “Heh, nice job.” Said the knight. Alcermere muttered something, but he accepted the offer, and let the Winged Hussar put him up. Just when Alcermere began to speak, they both heard zombies groan, and skeletons creak. An arrow shot out of the dark. “Well, it looks like he came to get me…” muttered Kazimir.
