Proposed Elf skills (Useful for RP): Sing - all saplings/crops in a 10 block radius grow immediately (like bonemeal) and flowers and grass sprout from the ground, and all mobs are attracted towards the user (both hostile and peaceful) Scale - when in the shadow of a tree, can teleport to the top of the tree. Jump and One; because Elves are natural athletes that can run and jump with ease. Herbalism - can use 1 sugarcane, and 1 of either flower to heal someone/something. Will update with more as I think of them. would be 2 op

only when you faced an elf with a bow in the woods. i could see that fitting. I think that the most obvious options for races are Human, Elf, Dwarve, Endrite, zicamian for the admins, and... i feel like im missing two or three options.

Maybe add a samurai type race? I know not many people like the idea especially though but I would really like it to be implemented.

Will update with more as I think of them. Scale will be impossible. The shadows are post-rendered with the default shaders, and thus have no data on the originating block ID. Therefore, the most you could do would have the ability triggered by a certain light level. The mob aspect of sing would be very buggy, as there would have to be a prioritization routine to prevent crashes.

Also, while Bretons are humanoid, they have feathered shoulderblades (which protrude slightly farther), and it is nearly impossible for them to get rid of their facial hair, resulting in goatees at the least (for men). Those are the only two NOTICABLE physical differences from humans...so not sure if that and the server population of 3 Bretons will get us a race Or the Bretonvil continent, which WAS the first continent separate ever mentioned, I might add.

maybe add subtypes to the race... so have like 3 major variants on the races, removing the excessive race overload.

I say no crap about changing races-just have the RP Mods set your race based on the Bio.

I agree krazzie said that you would have to do some sort of quest, it doesnt make sense that people might be able to change to whatever race they want to, if thats the case everyone who isnt too concerned about RP would just choose the most OP race available like how nearly everyone chooses Cent.

But I don't want to do no quest-I wanna RP. Poeple that arn't concerned about RP can just be assigned "raceless"-no skills whatsoever. So RP or face penalty .

I agree with Orman.RP or face penalty,plus iam sorry but the idea of having to do a quest to change race is stupid,if you want to change races kill your current character and switch to the race you want,for instance lets say a elf wants to change into a dwarf...WED PUT A PICK AXE THROUGH THAT GUYS FACE BEFORE WED LET HIM CHANGE INTO A DWARF by doing a quest,so if you want to change races,kill your current character write a new bio and boom your now a new race

But, as far as I see it, we will not be getting Sub Groups, like Nords and Ari'Nai and stuff. If you think about it, if we did continue with that policy, we would have to constantly add new Sub Groups for all of the new coming Newbs. Just keep the races Vague, and make sure you fit under at least one of them, that way you can be different from other people, but still categorized in some minor way
