So this isnt as much of an event as an idea. I was thinking it would be cool if we put less protection on vellton, but put laws in place to protect people. We could appoint the guardians to police the area when they have time. So say you break into someone's house, and get caught by a guardian. You would have to pay a fine and maybe death. It would add some more chances for role play and in the newspaper they could write about crimes. It would take some time and cooperation to get into place, but I think it might be fun.

I can see a problem with this, 1) RP Jobs and such you arent meant to be making money off of. 2) Many houses are already blocked off and can not be walked into. 3) Punishable by death? If this is rp then the owner of the character must agree to killing/leaving his/her character. Im not 100% sure about number 3 but its what I think it is.

Well my point is there would be less protection on the houses but if someone's character was caught in a house that doesn't belong to him, they would be punished. It is his choice to decide if he wants to take the risk. And it would not be enforced by the server so they couldnt be caught by simply using block log. They would actually have to be caught by the guardians or some vigilantes.

There are girls on the server that would steal from people. *cough* aku, night, rhainya *cough* No one would unblock their doors for rp with the chance of losing items.

This just sounds like a way to steal from a donors house. :/ As said in another thread, they paid for the perks so it's hardly fair to do this.

I only used he because that's what you should use for unspecified gender. Its just a stupid English rule. Anyway, thank you all for the feedback.

Actually for non gender specific you use they, them etc.

I assume a server mod is a mod that everyone else needs to have installed to connect to the server...

Here is some insight into running a server: The difference between Mods and Plugins is that Mods add new things to the game, while Plugins use what is in Vanilla Minecraft and expand on it in new ways, using Text Based messages, damage ticks, etc. While Mods are totally awesome, having to download a modpack is very discouraging to new players. Although it increases the server experiance, it dramatically reduces the amount of incoming players. The only way this system is successful is if it is an Easy to Instal Mod Pack, and/or a very popular server, for example the Voxel server.
Since plugins run on things in Vanilla Minecraft, it can be used without any augmentations to the client that players use. What is also cool is that minor changes that happen in updates, like in 1.3 we have Books and Selling and whatnot, Plugins can then expand on those basic things and make them amazing. Im looking forward to all the new plugins coming out with all of the new stuff in 1.3
That is your Server Lesson of the day, now for the weather....
