I think that it should be really hard to max out - but I think that mobs should be easier and the first 40 or so levels should be able to be attained relatively quickly. If the first 40 blaze by really fast people will have a little addiction to hero-leveling and be willing to push for the next half, if the first 10 levels take a week people will give up and leave probably.

Or make it like WoW, a $h!+load of skills every level but hard... Really hard to level so people have a "time" to test out their new skills.

For some reason when ever i bind jump to somthing after like 10 mins it doesnt work anymore.... it only works like 1 out of the 30 times i rightclick

So..Just maxed warrior, chose centurion (the tank class.) well, apparently not. Not only did I lose my abillity to even wield a diamond sword, or my once loved skill, invertdamage, I also lost the thing that MADE me a tank; my armor. I can only wear the two minor pieces of diamond armor, boots and helmet. Bob told me that DRAGONKNIGHTS (DPS) can wear diamond chests and leggings. I believe this is beyond absurd, and centurions are now equal to about a level 10 warrior, except warriors do more damage. All I request is the ability to wear FULL diamond armor again, and maybe if they are nice, add invertdamage, but remove inversion and voidblade from their arsenal..Also, maybe allowing them to use a diamond sword, but it only able to do about 30-40 damage. Just a heads up, cleave isn't compatible for shovels. For DK's, this can be a pain because it is a good offense skill and it doesn't have a long cool down like the rest does. So having to switch between a sword and a shovel every time is a pain.

Warrior swords are messed up. Stone is more powerful than diamond and Gold! Wood is equal in strength to them. Also warrior is supposed to be good with swords AND axes yet axes are still really weak. But really the diamond/ gold being super weak should be fixed.

Point proven The way I see it, all this stuff about not being able to use certain tools and weapons is the most incompreshensible part of heroes when viewed from an RP perspective. Sure one cannot do serious damage with any object without some level of training but nothing stops one from picking up an object and swinging it, even if done so inexpertly. A child (though they might not be able to lift a sword just yet) can pick up a bow without any training and kill someone (even if they miss most of their shots). Someone without prior training in chainsaw operation can still create an extreamely disgusting piece of art with other bodies as the material. I myself, without any training in sword operation can still wield a longsword to reasonable effect. So the diamond variants are supposedly "much heavier" but even then they can't be that much heavier since if they were so, no amount of training would allow you to lift it. Knights within history did not start picking up heavier and somehow "better" swords as they trained, no, they obtained/inherited a sword from the beginning of their career and that sword would be wieded for life. As some say, it is the person behind the sword that matters rather than the sword itself. What I am most puzzled about is why there is this random custom of assigning shovels and hoes to the dragonknight and mage respectively. I have never read of any serious knight/warrior/grunt/thug in history or fantasy marching into battle with an instrument that was supposed to be designed to move earth rather than armies, nor have I read of any fantasy magic practitioner who fends of enemies at close range with a farming implement. The sword is specifically designed to shift people, so why would you use a shovel or a hoe to bash enemies at close range when you have a specifically designed sword at your disposal? What I believe should happen with the tools and weapons is that all classes should be able to use all of them, and that the damage values for each class are adapted accordingly. The primary melee weapon for any class should be the sword rather than various earth management tools.

I'm pretty sure the shovel represents a spear or glaive since the sprite for shovel looks quite like one. Also some guy made an appocaliptic tool that is a shovel and sword combined, with pickaxe-axe hybrid on the other end of shaft. Also diamond dust blades DO exist IRL. Diamond is much easier to get sharper than steel. Diamonds are made of carbon, iron of, well, iron! Carbon is 6 on the periodic table of the elements, iron 26. Diamonds scratch iron. We could say that diamond tools/"weapons" are diamond incrusted. They would still be generally "light" compared to a full diamond sword (which isn't possible, no diamonds are that big) or even a golden ones (which would be completely unliftable due to there atomic weight). Because the impossiblitly of having full diamond tools, diamond incrusted tools could be what they are RP-wise.

Iron does the most damage for rogues, and before you complain about how much damage we do with them, it's because we do not have iron armor like warriors. And as for the reason of stone swords being stronger than diamond/gold, I'm not sure. As far as your other idea goes, think about it this way. Did we have carbon blades back in the medieval times? I think not. They probably didn't know how to make swords lighter by using other substances with the blades.

And for mages, a hoe represents a scythe.

I know what they are supposed to represent, but there is still the point that though it is supposed to be, it isn't. Until Notch decides to actually add a spear/scythe, we should just be content with the sword. Besides, the shovel and the hoe can't be enchanted.
Additionally, we must remember that no matter what, this is still minecraft, and our great Notch demands that:
