Not sure a bout this suggestion but I reckon that Notch would perhaps be the Elder God of all Creation... (he created the game so he deserves that much). Server history suggested that this world was shaped from a blank planet by the current reigning god. Notch may have been the god that created the very black planet himself along with the rest of the universe...

Meaning we have our own "gods". |

I find the idea of gods in the server's lore interesting, and really extremely realistic, and while i see why it would make sense for you to have a strict reign over which ones were official, theres really no reason why there couldnt be entire panthenons, since even in the real world cultures all have their own sets of gods or singular gods, or whatever it is a particular culture worshiped, whether it was apollo and athena and zeus or it was the worship of a figure such as the buddah, all of the ones suggested to me seem perfectly reasonable, since none really have to have had any role that would require a rethink or a rewrite of server lore as i've seen it. not to mention, having a wider variety of gods to worship would allow for a bit more variety in roleplaying somewhat, as well as allowing a wider variety of temples and churches, even if the ruling body in whatever area in question were to try and make said area monotheistic, since that has never really worked perfectly even in real life. of course, im a lowly peasant, and have no real say in the matter, but thats just my view on the matter.
