As already mentioned, there are newer people that have been moved up relatively quickly. Each case is unique and someone may have shown extra awesome dedication, skill, whatever. The guy can dream. There's no need to immediately dismiss based upon that. People can freely post apps. Doesn't mean they will get it, but sometimes I feel a lot of it is sour grapes and people wanting to "thin the herd" for competition so they try to post something semi negative.
Play nice in the sandbox people. : p

Fishbie, There are different reasons people are picked. There are some people that have been on the server for a LONG LONG LONG time and haven't gotten a job, and there is some people that have been on the server for not a long time, like akureimusume.

Also about the experience with being a mod, super-mod, admin and co-owner. Was that just on your friend's little server he/she made on his laptop? Like just one for you guys to mess around on? If it was, scrap all that about being a moderator etc.

It was actually a growing Creative Community. Astrocraft, and Velocity. So No it was not just a little place to mess around on. At first it was. But we decide to take it up a notch and start sailing as a real server. We have had as much as 40 people on. It was hard work keeping things in order, with plugins and such. Since we didnt have any good coders we had to work hard to find specific plugins. Thanks for all the people who support my application! ~v3c3

Frankly, having experience as admins and mods on other servers doesn't seem to have much of an effect on the decision, since you are obviously no longer an admin/mod on that server, something must have happened.
It seems real-world leadership experience, maturity, and general awesomeness have a larger effect on who gets made into an admin.

I don't really see how real world leadership experience would help being a guide or mod, admin maybe, but it's not like guides/mods are meant to lead groups of people or anything. I obviously don't know much about being a mod but I don't see why people post things like that in apps. (That's only directed at pajos, sorry for using your thread v3)

Guides are a small leaders, mods are a lot bigger leaders than guides, and admins are a huge amount more bigger leaders than mods. Every staff is a leader because we hold power and affect the way the server is played in a small way. What pajos means is that are you a leader in real life, because mods and admins ARE leaders. |
