Mirkwood was founded after the founding of Rull in 652 by Fedwin Moor, a man tired of the noise and constant bustling of the Capital city, Rull. King Carlonaro Rull acknowledged Mirkwood as a growing city and offered help in any way but made clear note that the town was to protect itself and not under the protection of Rull or its forces.
In 670, Mirkwood was betrayed twice during The Blackrock War, first when its leader was imprisoned in Rock City by the president Ho’okoa Ruiz, causing the two nations to come into conflict even as the Rull armies continued their advance.
In 689, Mirkwood came under attack by a vast Skeleton horde under the command of the semi-mythical figure Zasuti. Despite a valiant defence commanded by King Fedwin Moor at the Battle of the Taren River, the Army of Mirkwood was defeated and forced into a fighting retreat before perishing at a crossroads near the Wooded Home in a second engagement called the Battle of Fedwin’s field. However, Mirkwood did not rise again during the war.
It was later revealed that bandits had intervened to stop reinforcements being sent to relieve Mirkwood, apparently acting out of jealousy of Mirkwood’s coming power and influence. Rull also heard Mirkwood’s call to arms, but were unable to send relief in time.
Mirkwood stood almost completely empty cept for a few survivors that had made their way back to the woodland home.
By 698, Mirkwood was once again a striving village yet kept to themselves in order to preserve their lineage from that point on. Military supplies have been sent to Rull in order to help with battle as the time has come, but many of their people ignore the call all together.
A statue is being erected of King Fedwin Moor, shown creating his city in the trees.
