You know your way around Rull you say... Where's the Lumber Mill, the Magic and Tech Uni and the name of the Inn opposite the EG HQ? These are all standard things to know. If you don't, either take it off or learn.
P.S. It makes no difference how long your brother has played. Btw, who is he?

On a more related note, no you haven't played for a long time your brother has and looking over someones shoulder will never match actually playing. Your application needs more information about why it should be you that becomes a guide and not someone else, I'm not saying you're not going to get the position and none of us are but if you want it then you're going to need much more detail and proof that you are deserving of a staff position on aoc.
P.S: Yes, that is basically just what mods have said which I've taken parts of and thrown together.
