He had just built it and with his partner Brindale they went forward into time to the year 2100. They stopped and surveyed the landscape, "Nothing has changed," said Fowler. "I know, I can't understand what happened." said Brindale. Then Dean went back to the time machine and checked the date. "3/22/2100" said the control board. Then from outside Brindale let out a cry, "Look out!" Dean Jumped and ran outside to find Brindale fighting a massive hoard of zombies. Dean jumped in with his sword and cut off the head of a zombie. He screamed: "There is too many, we must escape!" so they left the time to the present day "3/23/2012 we made it" said Fowler. But the adventure was not over...

I used wood and redstone to power the machine, and I would never try to be "godmoddish" I just used plain reflex in the story.
