Well recently they managed to install a single pixel into a contact lens, which can turn on and off, is unnoticeable when turned off, and fits like a normal lens. Eventually it could reach this.

Both these vids remind me of a book i just read. It's called The Dreaming Void. Some people have special implants (one of which is a HUD), and they have blasters/force fields implanted.
I kept thinking they all had magical powers.
