Hmmmm, that mod does sound good. Would make mining and building a whole lot easier.....
I give this s thumbs up, but its krazzie and/or mikeys choice to allow it or not.

The sword part is probably the only part that may be kind of hard to get passed

Yes, such as a PvP battle. It would give you an unfair advantage if you didn't have to switch swords when they broke and instead could continue fighting straight away. I have nothing against using it for building or mining though.

But with all the blacksmiths around how often does anyone break a sword in pvp? Plus it's not completely instant, there is a delay pretty much equal to the time it'd take you to scroll up one hotbar slot.

I recently got the mod in a .jar a friend gave me for 1.0, and its true. I can scroll just as quick as this switches. It really is just a convenience thing more than anything. I constantly find myself having to put three or four stacks of stuff on my hotbar in the server for whatever I happen to be building at that time, but with this mod, you just throw what your using on, and if you run one stack out, no big deal.

If you wanted this mod on aoc everyone would have to install it, only mods that don't add any items, blocks etc. can be used on a server that doesn't have the mods installed.

Which loops back to my post about a system in which that could work, but it would drain server resources like crazy, and put a handicap on the new player flow.
I love how half the people who play minecraft are all like DER HER HER I CN HAZ BE KNOWLEDGABLE ABOUT MODS

Trolololol... I has no mods installed atm, and have only ever installed the shelf mod. I can't even find my .minecraft folder XD. And I've looked everywhere :/

Lol. It would be cool if a server gets a mod that asks you weather or not you want it to install the client side of a mod that is on the server. It would make it alot easier for all you newbs at modding XD

Until a mod API is added by Mojang I'm pretty sure that's just plain impossible, the mod API would have to vexx able to edit things on your PC, not to mention that you wouldn't even be able to log onto the server without the mods

If there was an auto installer that asked you when you logged on, there would be a firewall problem, if you have yours up.
