Ok, I had an idea. Since their are RP towns, shouldn't their be RP nations. i know we have nations now, but maybe they fit in with their own bio. Say FringeDivision is a science/research Nation and Legion is a warrior and fighting nation. I know this would be hard to do, since there are many towns, but it may work if we did try. Again, just a small idea.

I think it would be kind of useless. We can already travel to every town via ports, and the "Nations" are already kinda in use. A Town is either with Rull, Lucavex, or Neutral. Towns under either Rull or Lucavex will get protection from other towns of that alliance.

I dont know, but its a good idea Bob. Rp wise i think it would be great, maybe different rp nations depedning on which side your on and what race you are? i dont know but it would be a lot of work and if done who knows might increase rp participation significently?

No. No it wouldn't. After careful observation over many months, I have come to the conclusion that things like this don't work. You dont need [insert plugin here] to rp. An extra variable that puts a line of text in your town info panel will not suddenly make all the lethargic, unenthused players jump off their asses and become all-star roleplayers. Neither will any of the other new server additions the admins have added. Sure, having currency makes trade more realistic, and bookworm lets you record stories, but these are just bells and whistles. They make the roleplayers experience a little prettier, but the people who dont rp wont change because of it.

Yea i guess so. It takes more than stuff like that to make usless rp'ers have the desire to rp..But still why not try?

in theory this is a great idea, however things like this make RP noobs scared and confused for some reason, in turn creating more work for all of our mods. We could just give names to the two existing nations rather then just calling them alliances.

It just means that the two sides are not two nations as such, but are really two backstabbing groups that fight against each other for thier members' personal mortals aspirations.
