Drake was from the far off country Duluth a land in a mountainous region. He had it all, his family was of nobility, they loved him, he had a beautiful fiancee, a helpful and strong older brother, a sweet and sensitive younger sister, and he was friends with the king's nephew. He learned much of how governments worked even the sly and underhanded ways of some governments. The King of his country wasn't the best king especially compared to his father. Drake loved to run a top the buildings of Duluth's capital Angles, he gained speed, agility and learned how to avoid and sneak past the guards who didn't like young rascals running around the city at night. He was truly happy and thought his youth would never end.
Six months later the king's royal adviser told him of an assassin, of course this was a lie, but the king didn't want to take any chances. He started to execute anyone he had suspicions of. This built tension among the middle class and talks of revolution started. Drake was very disappointed with his father when he continued to support the king just to keep his noble rank. 4 months later the king had already executed 650 citizens of the city, only 60 of them being actual revolutionaries.
The Country was on the brink of a full out revolution at this point, Drake didn't know what side to take. Continue to secretly curse his father and the king for all this suffering or join the revolution and become a target of the government. Drake stopped hanging out with the king's nephew just to stay away from anything involving the king.
Two months later Drake awoke one after noon from a nap to hear rioting in the streets, he looked out his windows to see citizens killing royal guards. His father burst into his room telling him that the citizens are revolting. His father told Drake to escape to the roofs and don't stop till he was out of Angles then take a wagon out of the country. Drake asked about his mom and sister, he said that it was to late for them they were in the market when the riots started. He also told Drake that he and his brother would hold off the revolutionaries. Drake was heart broken and didn't want to go without them but was forced to.
After escaping to the roofs and running for a while he took a second to watch upon the destruction of his beloved city. During this time he saw a man on a horse giving orders, Drake couldn't believe his eyes, the leader of the attack on Angles was the King's adviser Sirus Niels. Drake would have attacked but he left his sword in his room. At that moment Drake swore that he would kill Sirus one day for causing all this. After escaping the city Drake lived in one of the smaller cities but was run out after Sirus sent troops after him knowing how close he was to the previous leader. Drake moved a few countries away from Duluth escaping Sirus for now. All this happened five years ago Drake is now 22 and all this eats away at him as bad as it did when it first happened. He now lives in Mirugan wanting to become stronger and more wise before returning to take on Sirus.
