what position are you applying for?

I'm applying for a Moderator position



why should you be accepted?

I've played minecraft for quite a while now, and it is one of my favorite things to do. But my biggest problem that I have with the game is Griefers. I used to run my own server and I know how bothersome they can be. I just thought that by working to stop griefers, it could make the server a much more fun place to play.



what minecraft experience do you have?

I ran my own server for almost a year and I have been playing since alpha. I also have seen a good amount of servers, some good and MANY bad ones. I know how to use plugins very well and I also have a good understanding of the game and it's basic components (crafting, brewing, building etc.).

How long have you been on this server?

I've been on the server since October, 2011, I think. My friends YukonJack and PajosFTW invited me to join. Ever since then, I've played the server occasionally. But now I've made some friends and I've grown to really enjoy playing the server.


what is your timezone and minecraft schedule?

My timezone is Pacific Standard Time, and I usually play from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM on weekdays, but on weekends I usually play minecraft from 3:00 PM to 2:00 am.


what would you do if accepted for this position?

I would do my best to help people that have been griefed, by banning the griefer and helping a bit with repairing their damaged home or other structure.


how would you better the server?

I would help catch griefers and help people that have been griefed.


any other information that you would like to share.

I'm good friends with PajosFTW and we hang out regularly at school, he'd also probably kill me if I did anything to harm the server or anybody on it's creations.

I ran a sever too but I don't really see how that can make you that much more qualified. I mean I know how to use plug-ins and how to deal with players but every server is unique; different rules, different plug-ins, different levels of quality, different sizes etc. And it really doesn't sound like you have been playing for very long (Allot longer than me but still). And greifers are only a small aspect of the magnitude of problems that a Mod has to deal with.

I know that there are other problems that moderators deal with such as Xrayers and other modders. They also have to deal with exp farms and keeping the peace between server members. Also when I talked about the server I ran, I had to deal with a lot of those things, and it was very difficult sometimes.
