Ok I wasn't sure where to post this but I had an idea for an rp ability for priests . It doesn't need any added Heroes support or anything.
The soul Bond
A priest can under great need bond his or her soul with another person, it takes a huge amount of the priest’s energy and can even kill them if they are not strong enough. Basically a small part of the priest’s soul is swapped with a small part of the subject’s soul. The priest and the subject will share a deep spiritual bond and will be compelled to assist each other when they are in need and will share a love normally reserved for family. Although the actions of each will impact on the others relationship with the gods which is usually good for the subject as they a drawn closer to the gods but it can be dangerous for the priest as their relationship to with the gods is central to their occupation and the subject may undertake actions that counter the piety of the priest. The bond can be severed by a dark priest but at great risk, both the priest and the subject could die and their souls can be broken permanently.
Use
Although this bond can be created at any time the only known use is to heal the subject. If a person experiences great enough pain for a long enough time it become infused into their soul and so by taking a part of the soul the priest can relive the pain of the subject although in doing so they must take the pain upon himself. It is a highly noble act for a priest to carry out and is only advisable for a well-trained priest who is confident in his or her link with the gods.
History
This method is very rare throughout Mirigan’s history and no records of its use remain today. It is believed to have been used by priests in the early third age based on some orally transmitted myths but it is uncertain. However during Zicamgar's time in Mirugan when priests had a much stronger relationship with the gods soul bonding would have had much less risk although it is likely that it was still rare. By the second age the bond between gods and man had already weakened and it would follow the method became even rarer and by Zicamgar's ascension the soul bond would have been forgotten altogether.
Recently the Priest Marcus Superbus II attempted to heal a very sick man in less than ideal circumstances. For days before hand he had been meditating on his role as priest and the spiritual services that he could supply. Healing had been a great focus of this meditation and he had grown to understand the relationship between body and soul and how pain affected them. As he strained to heal his subject he was hit by a great revelation which he believes came to him from Zicamgar himself. He laid his hands on the man’s shoulders and focused first on his own soul; struggling to rip it in two at this point he felt his life force fading as he transmitted part of his soul through his hands into his patient. At this point he was sure that he would die but to his surprise he felt an energy traveling back up his arms. The new method was highly successful and the man’s pain was greatly relieved but Marcus was conscience of a great change in both of them. After hours of meditation he came to realise what he had done and in great shock rushed to his patient to explain. Now he is considering whether it is right to realise his new found knowledge into the world or to bury it deep in his mind; either way he doubts that he will ever soul bond again.
