Good evenin' everyone. Below is a short list that in the future will most likely be updated. It contains a couple guardian formations that Datric and Myself will start drilling you on during the Guardian saturday trainings. If we finalize this, ALL guardians MUST learn these, as they will be used in training and events. We have deemed these necessary, because of the constant messiness of the events. These are just very rough pictures, so that you can get an understanding of what's to come. Eventually, individual guardians and classes will be assigned formations and positions in said formations. If you have any questions, comments, or concerns, feel free to post below. Thanks, -Ryan. Expanded Arrowhead Contracted Arrowhead Expanded Line Contracted Line Full Shield Semi-Shield

Also, when trying to maintain a formation like this, many things need to be kept in mind. A main thing is when typing while trying to keep formation, type in short hand. If you do a long drawn out monologue, you'll find yourself behind the group. Try to refrain from talking when not needed and/or asked a direct question, and if you do talk, keep it short and sweet. I see many people going "HAIL! To the east a monumental and menacing wall of monsters storms toward us! What shall we do? Men! Steel yourself in preparation for this battle!" No, just say "Monsters to the Left." Saves a lot of time and prevents confusion. Know when to talk and what to say

-Do these formation count towards individuals (each square a player) or small groups, divisions/squads whatever you want to call them(each square a group). Because depending on the amount of men that would be in these formations some of them would fail horribly.
-These formations are mainly defensive by the looks of it with the exception of the arrowheads. (these are only a good option if there were horses/cavalry in minecraft) So unless horses are a thing in the next two updates that arrowhead is useless. Arrowheads (aka a wedge) are made to shatter enemy formations so you have two smaller forces you can fight or to just demoralise the enemy with the fact there tactics just failed so they have to start hacking at random. This formation is made to steal control over the battle.
-Then i'm guessing red is the commanding officer, blue is your infantry and yellow is a unit your trying to protect. If so: they all suck with the exception of the shield formations. Never put you commanding officer/unit (The person that gives commands and keeps morale up with the troops) in the middle and infront, your asking to get him slaughtered. Without him you lose control over the battle. I suggest you redo your formations completly especialy the "line" formations, your just asking to get your arse kicked.
-Where are the archers? You have bows don't you! Use them!
-For defensive formations these are still lacking. When defending you'll have some time to place basic defensive structures such as barricades or small
-Terrain is an important factor in your formations, for example none of these are suitable for a assault on a hill. Your enemy will have archers and you will be a tight formation runn
-Then like alwayz said, make a list of short commands that your men know out of their heads, simple codes etc, skype is also a thing and we have mumble to make this commanding issue eassier.
Now, i haven't included everything cos these formations are just so flawed, start with these basics.

H.I.s tank the front, G.I.s cover the flanks and the commander/VIP stay in the middle. However, how can someone be respected as a good leader if all they do is hide behind their men and let them be slaughtered? Bowmen normally have their own unit behind the main force. Skype should be used, and yes, we might need to come up with a Guardian battle code.

Big A, Little A, The 1776, the British officer, the doughnut, and the cross. Enough said.
