Internship anybody? Anyway, We do need some healers and docs. Not many people like being the guy sitting behind the chair and looking at charts of people's wellness...

Actually, if there is a plague, it is likely that only a select few species will be affected, and if the pathogen affect human mainly, it is unlikely to affect any other species since other species have differnt gentetic makeup. A universal pathogen that affects everything canot exist.

It is however perfectly reasonable that the disease could mutate and different strains could evolve that would affect other races.

Maybe the disease can evolve from its environment. Like it use to infect by going in contact with someone, then it soon leads to infecting people by droplets, then it becomes airborne. If this happens, there has to either be a reason that is chemical-based or the infection has it's on mind and it is deciding to adapt to the environment to infect...

Is anyone's RP character an evil scientist type of person? He could engineer the infection and let it loose.

We don't really have many scientists since it's largely medieval, however it could be a magic based thing.

A universal pathogen that affects everything canot exist. It could be a bacterium/virus that literally eats flesh/eats skin, causing patches of new, more easily irritable skin to be exposed
