Chapter one:Origins.
"Who...who am i...?"thought Zauberius.He was in a damp moldy fort jail,it seemed like just yesterday he had got there he had come from his native dwarf family too seek his fortune in rull.But the captain of his ship had other plans,Zauberius found out that he had been sailing with traitors to the king all to late.They were supposed to have pulled into the forts dock but instead 2 other ships much larger than his joined them and turned starboard and fired on the fort!Almost instantly airships began to rise from the fort and sail over to the vessels.The last thing he remembered before he blacked out was an airship over his ship and a man coming down from it on a rope.Zauberius woke in a smelly moldy damp dungeon with a platter that had some bread and water on it,Zauberius was exhausted so he scarfed it down."On your feet scum!"yelled a jailer.The jailer walked him out too the courtyard of the fort where a gallows was looming two other men dressed in black robes came up to the jailer and almost instantly pulled the robes off and stabbed the jailer.Almost as if they were waiting for this to happen several soldiers came out from doors all around the courtyard.After looking at the men's faces who had saved him Zauberius realized something they were vampires but there was no time to think only time to act.The men took Zauberius by the hand and made him jump off a fort wall!"This is the end!"Zauberius thought.Just then he landed safely in a cargo net of a ship and soon found his captors names were Lorenzo and Kalean.
Chapter2:The Aftermath and Siege of Fort Wilderness
Zauberius and his two new"Friends" Lorenzo and Kaelan had saved his life and was ever in gratitude to them and there fellow men for saving his life and eventually joined there town Vernum Sangiuem. After building a house and living in the town for awhile Zauberius grew restless and often heard of the wonders of Rull and wished to visit the great capitol city of Mirugan, but because the town was at war he could not go on a regular morning because of the blockade that the towns enemies had set up but every now and then the small ship they had would be able to out maneuver the bigger vessel's on a stormy night. After weeks of sailing Zauberius arrived at fort wilderness where he would have taken a coach to the capitol, but like the fort he had been jailed in it was under attack by the same vessels! Zauberius had sought revenge on those evil men and instructed the captain to prepare for battle. The men engaged in a deadly naval battle, 3 of the kings ships sailed out of port to aid the small ship and were successful in sinking the 2 bigger ships. However the captain of the third which Zauberius had sailed on had other ideas instead the captain fled the battle with his sail on fire and two large holes in his ship. After a 10 minute chase with the vessel they where able to board the ship and fight the men on board after the successful battle in which they had captured most of the surviving crew they headed back to the fort with both the captain and the treasure they had on the ship. Zauberius had finally got his revenge he challenge the captain to a duel and won. After that little misadventure Zauberius finally got to Rull with new adventures in store!
Chapter 3:Soiled Revenge
Zauberius had spent the night at the Origins Inn eating, drinking, talking, the usual. But halfway in the middle of a joke a man sat down right next to him. Zauberius wasn't alarmed at first and continued the joke.
*Click*
Zauberius instantly spun around on his bar stool and cracked the bottle of beer over the mans head knowing the sound of a hidden blade. The man who was dressed in black recovered from the blow and drew his sword, but Zauberius drew a small knife and stabbed him in the neck. The man coughed up blood but was still alive but soon gave up the fight.
"Who the hell are you?!" asked Zauberius.
The man coughed and then said, "I..I..I cant tell you who I am..bu-" The man went limp and died. Zauberius searched the mans body and found a letter and a coin purse. The letter stated, "Kill Zauberius.Goldfinger. He is a black haired dwarf with a small crest on his armor, kill him and meet me behind origins when you are finished." Zauberius drew his sword and went behind the Inn but took the dead assassins bow and quiver just in case the person who ordered this tried to run.
When Zauberius arrived a man in black robes stood there and laughed and then said, "The man who killed my poor little brother is finally dea-YOU!" the man screeched. Zauberius drew his bow and shoot the man in the knee "AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! YOU SICK BASTARD!" the man cursed.
"Who are you and why do you want me dead?" Zauberius Screamed in rage.
"I am the older brother of the man you killed my poor poor brother!" the man screamed back. "The captain of the S.S.Liberety was my brother!" the man yelled again. Just then a few Guardians arrived on the scene.
"You there stop!" yelled the captain. "Please take this man into custody he just tried to have me killed and is a traitor to the king of Rull," stated Zauberius calmly stated.
"A traitor eh? Cuff em boys!" said the captain of the guards. As the man was being dragged away the man yelled, "ILL GET YOU SOMEDAY YOU SUN OF A BITCH YOU HEAR ME?!"
Zauberius calmly walked back to the Inn and slept that night safe and sound...for now.
Chapter 4:Refugee
Zauberius had just come out of a discussion about the war.He had been visiting the Shrine and was trying to help them thought this war."This is a fruitless effort...!"thought Zauberius angrily.
As he walked down the dock to his ship the H.M.S"Crazy Sister".Zauberius ordered the Quarter master to set a course for Verum.Sangiunium.As he walked to his captains quarter's he grew tired and flopped down on his bed and slowly took off his armor and changed into his pajamas.Zauberius studied the map from Rull to Verum.Sangiunium and drank out of his flask full of whiskey as he try-ed to figure out a safe course from Rull to the town.But something else soon caught his eye,The picture of him and his wife on there wedding day."I must not get distracted!"Zauberius thought as he tried to study the map."Iron Forge"said a small dot on the map and thought about his town.Zauberius walked back on deck and told the quarter master"Set a course for Iron Forge."said Zauberius."Sir...the waters from here to there are dangerous."replied the quarter master."Then make sure the cannons are loaded!And keep a watchmen out here to night also.Zauberius walked back to his quarters and went into a restless sleep.
Several of his past memories seem to play out right in front of Zauberius as he slept."Sir!"Yelled a man that Zauberius suddenly realized was the night watchmen."Yes sailor?"replied Zauberius."Hostile ships are leaving the harbor of Iron Forge!"the man yelled back.Zauberius threw on his armor and ran on deck.To find his small town on fire.
"Pull into the port quick and have everyone search for survivors and anything of use!"Yelled Zauberius to the quarter master.Zauberius jumped onto the dock and ran to his family's house."Mother!Father!where are you!?"Screamed Zauberius.Suddenly Zauberius heard coughing coming from the cellar.Zauberius flung the cellar door open to find his old father mother and sister...but not his brother,Zauberius looked around and found several chests that obviously contained the family's money and most of there possession's."Son*cough*is that you...?"asked his father."Yes father,now quickly grab the chests and run to the dock and get in the ship!"yelled Zauberius to his family.Because he saw the old munitions building on fire.*BOOM*!
the building exploded just as a few sailors where running out carrying some of the munitions.
Back on the boat Zauberius asked the quarter master if there where anymore survivors."Yes sir a young dwarf with a black beard and a stab wound.He is in the brig which has been converted into a hospital for now."replied the quarter master.Zauberius walked down to the brig and found his wounded-but still alive brother on a bed."who did this?"asked Zauberius."They...They came from everywhere in ships...they Fired on the wall and blew it up...we where overwhelmed...none of us survived,except me...is-is my family alright...?"said his brother."Yes brother the family is alive."said Zauberius."Zauberius?!Its you?"asked his brother."Yes brother its me,now i need to attend to other business."
"Set a course for Verum.Sangiunium."Zauberius told the quartermaster."Aye Aye sir!"replied the quartermaster.
Chapter 5:A search all in vain
Zauberius was sitting on his bed in his cabin aboard his ship when all of a sudden a messager pigeon arrived."Now who could that be?"pondered Zauberius.Zauberiused opened the note and read it aloud"Iam sorry Captain.Goldfinger your Wife Sherel has been killed,me and my family found her 2 months ago lying on the beach ill from some sickness,we tried to help here but we couldn't.If you would like to finally lay her to rest we live on this small settlement called Gray Farm."Zauberius said."Shes..shes gone..."said Zauberius.
"Quartermaster!"Yelled Zauberius."Sir?"answered the Quartermaster."Set a course for the Settlement of "Gray Farm"!"said Zauberius.Zauberius Went back to his cabin and searched for his white robe."Its time to say goodbye to Sherel i believe..."Zauberius thought.Zauberius pulled the hode over his head and walked off the boat onto the dock where it had started raining,and headed twoard the graveyard clutching a blood red rose and a small golden knife.
Zauberius climbed the stone steps up to the graveyard heavily."R.I.P Sherel.M.Severus"Zauberius read.Zauberius placed the knife and the rose over his wifes grave and said"I suppose ill be returning this now..."said Zauberius with tears in his eyes.Then i thought struck him"This might not be her!"then Zauberius thought again"Its time Zauberius,you've chased after this woman for far to long its time you need to move on.".Zauberius walked back down the stone steeps and out onto the dock and climb aboard the boat."Course sir?"Asked the Quartermaster."Yes..Home."Replied Zauberius.
