What position are you applying for?
Guide
Why should you be accepted?
I've been playing on the server for a relatively long time, the first time I logged was during the siege of rull, which confused me, as 3 ghasts launching fireballs at you isn't a good way to be introduced to the server. I should be accepted as a guide, because 1st of all, even though the noobs-that-are-fun-to-kill seem b**hy, I can see from their point of view, and try to work things out. I'm not too good with RP, I've hardly done any good RP stuff at all, but I can provide information on the heroes plugin and how to start yourself out on AoC.
What Minecraft experience do you have?
I've been playing Minecraft for around 2 years now, I do simple, hardy redstone contraptions, nothing near the complexity of Mav's projects, and I usually go onto PVP servers along with a combat buddy, usually my cousin.
I played for around 2-3 years on a server which was shut down, as the hoster, Dyrnwyn, was swamped with irl work and heroes coding work, along with a promotion which caused him to move. Listening to a coder and learning different tactics from the people who coded the plugin in the first place is a good way to fully understand the plugin itself.
How long have you been on the server?
I'm not sure exactly, but around when Lucavex took over Rull, around 6-7 months ago. So... around a half year is my guess.
What is your time-zone and Minecraft schedule?
I live in Cali, Pacific Standard time, and I play around 4-5 on weekdays, sometimes longer, and I play all Saturday, if not swamped with work.
What would you do if you were accepted for this position?
I would be surprised. Personally, I'm not sure if I would make a good guide, but I do know some good heroes information. I would help noobs with the heroes system, give some basic PVP advice, binds and stuff, etc., help wtih RP Bios, and recommend towns.
How would you better the server?
Well, as I would be staff, I would have to tone my "stupid" down, and the noobs would be more informed on how the heroes plugin works, and wouldn't be raging/capsing because they keep getting chased in the wild, if they make a successful RP Bio and join a town, which was a big problem for me when I joined.
Any other information that you would like to share
I am an avid reader, and am quite verbose when agitated/angry.
I also talk a lot, so being guide would kind of kill two birds with one stone, it makes me shut up a bit more, and it teaches the noobs.
