Tim Fordon wasn’t thinking of himself when he built a house in the middle of a meadow. He was thinking of the future soldiers wanting to settle down during their old age. Tim saw all this land as a future town for anyone, but specifically for the soldiers that still want to fight, but can’t.
Built in 1795, Tim had little to spare, and did the work with the help of peasants wanting warm beds and food in their stomachs. He built around that single house. The peasants and himself started with the homes and then went on to the farm. The town continued to build from there.
When word spread from passing travelers that it was for soldiers, a few came to look at the town. They figured it would be a few measly homes and a wall. Instead, it was quite the opposite. It had homes large enough for families, a farm to feed hundreds, a tavern to give the people a place to drink. The soldiers were so amazed at the town, that they told Tim to hold them a house and seat at the tavern.
The town was fully finished in 1804. Tim had given the peasants jobs to do, that way they aren’t poor again. He waited for the soldiers that viewed the town while it was being worked on to come back, only two did. They said the other died in the fight again Hon. Although Tim was devastated, he kept his promise and left that soldier a home and a seat at the tavern, even though he wasn’t coming. He hung a sign outside stating, “Harold Higno, died fighting for Rull”, that way people knew who owns the house.
In 1805 the town was filled with soldiers, families, and grateful citizens. Although the town was strong, no one could have expected what would happen next. A massive earthquake caused home to split and buildings to collapse.
Even though this was devastating and lives were lost, the towns people pulled together and worked to get the town to its formal glory. They fixed the walls, and made it as stable as possible. Afterwards they worked on the buildings, making every home the way it was and setting up the tavern.
When all the work was down, they set up a memorial fountain, in the middle of town. The people of Wardon wanted to make sure no one forgets what happened.
After people mourned, they slowly went back to their daily lives. Every time Tim went passed that fountain, he would remember the day that he had the dream of making Wardon. Even when he passes by Harold’s home, he remembers the day he asks for a place in the town.
I do realize most of you believe I raged deleted SS. That isn’t quite true. Yes, I deleted when I left for 3 days, but SS was dead. No one really wanted to join it, so the only reason it was there was for chest protection. So, I would understand if this gets denied.
Also, if you think f a better name, let me know. I'm not great at names.
