Eclipse’s Beginnings
The City of Eclipse, it was discovered by young Riakol Verandis. Riakol had recently made the acquaintance of the Barbarian leader and had the RVS Galeforce modified by his best workers. When Riakol went to test the airships flight capabilities, he discovered an oddly formed peninsula with nothing but a tree and a small mossy shack. When he inspected it, nothing was there, but a note of abandonment from, what he assumed, the old shacks owner. He lit the house up in flames, and watched from his ship. After the flames died down in the morning a small storm had already washed away the ashes, leaving but a small patch of dirt and gravel. He laid down a large, rolled parchment from the chest down on the table in his cabin. It was a bit of scrabbled down plans for a large industrial city from the days before he left his home with Nahndrickh Veldspar (a Dark Elf who comes into play later). So, when he went back to Horizon, he sent out a document stating that "...help is needed to create a glorious industrial marvel, all skilled builders are welcome, you will be paid handsomely and have the opportunity to aid in creating a large civilization..." a small group of elves, dwarves, and a few other peoples arrived at Horizon waiting for commands. They set out back to, what would be known as Eclipse, to get started on building Eclipse. After many hard months of working the city was complete. The group of dwarves, elves, and humans left, with very full pockets. He told them to tell anyone they met of this new city. After another month, a small group of elven scholars, gruff dwarves, and indifferent humans arrived, flabbergasted by the city’s astounding factories, tall mage’s towers, and deep mines. The dwarves began to settle down on the cliffy side of the peninsula and set to work in the factories and mines with the humans. The elves began to start establishing homes on the peninsulas surface, started to grow the fields of wheat, potatoes, and carrots, and started to study the art of Technomancy under Riakol and Nahndrick’s wise eyes. Soon, Horizon became allied with Eclipse, Horizon trading its Redstone prowess for Eclipse’s massive factory products. But this was but the beginning…
Eclipse’s Rough Patch
After 3 months of living in Eclipse, work in the factories had not yet begun. Riakol had bought the necessary materials, work, and simple time that were needed, but yet work had yet to begin. For some reason, the coal and fuels had lit up in the caverns and he was left uninformed for a month. Only when he had finally contacted the Head of Foundry Workings, he had his explanation. They didn’t like his ethics. They had not the courage to tell him in fear of being kicked out of Eclipse. So, after a long meeting with the Heads of the Merchants, Foundries, and the current RED members, it was decided that Eclipse needed a group of laws, forgotten in the last few months of working with little recreation, they had not even begun working on law. So Riakol laid down a basic group of laws, which can be seen in the town center to this day, the Head of Foundries was not replaced, but was roughly disciplined, including harsh public service and loss of pay for a month.
Eclipse Today
Currently, the Foundry District is finally up and running pumping out refined products, and the College of Technomancy is beginning its 1st term. The Merchants District has begun setting up shipments of products from all over Barbaric Mirugan. There are not many people just living in Eclipse, they've came for work, the view, the colleges, and the Airships. And at that, I leave you with the story of the City of Eclipse, an Industrial Marvel.

Journal Entry from day of finding the Eclipse Peninsula
9/27/66;
I've decided to go out and test the RVS Galeforce's new riggings. So far the airship is flying at ample speed and is handling better than before. The sky is clear and blue with but a single cloud in the air.
After one or two hours of sailing over ocean, I've found a small tipped peninsula. I've decided to land and scope the perimeter out. So, among the odd trees and fruit they bear, many opportunities are present here, and may even be usable for Eclipse, and old scholarly town I designed when I was back in C----- learning the arts of Technomancy. For one, the soil quality is extremely amazing; this presents an agricultural opportunity. Furthermore, the odd shape of the peninsula is simply intriguing; this would draw scholars of an earthly pursuit along as well. And, of course, the Peninsula is the only land for leagues after you depart from port. The New College of Technomancy could easily fit along with 10 or so factories, a large merchant district, and some scattered housing going down the cliffside of the peninsula's tip. Nahndrickh has also sent word of his arrival; he should be in Central Mirugan by the 15th of Shadaline. Thank the gods; if this project is to succeed I'll need all the help I can get.
