My idea is to have a weekend event when there isn’t a big event such as a Barbarians laying waste to Rull or something. The event is sorta of like a monster raid. You are set inside a small/medium village and are left to defend. Night has fallen and the monsters appear out of the caverns and the dark forests that surround your village. You grab your weapon of choice and must defend yourself until the sun casts a warm light over the village and the monsters of the night retreat.
This event can be played with any size group, but it is preferred a large group. This event can offer a fast way to level up if done in parties, and offers the chance for people to expand on their roleplay.
The event would be roleplay, meaning players would have to be in /ch rp, but character would not be required for if you did not have your own character, you could play a citizen of the village.
The way the event would work is there would be “waves” of raiding forces. There could be checkpoints such as the front gate, the northern tower, the town square, and the town hall, the eastern farms. Each of these checkpoints would have a beacon that would offer an ability. Each checkpoint must be cleared before the next wave may start. There can be as many waves as you wish.
An example could be like this:
Event: Wave One! As the sun falls, the monsters start appearing under the moonlight. The monsters gather at the foot of the gate, defend it!
Wave one would be a starting wave so depending on the size of the group. A group of monsters could be spawned. 25 - 40 zombies, 10 - 20 skeletons.
Event: Wave Two! While they sieged the gates, another attacking force gather at the eastern farms!
Wave Two would also be a easier wave, but would include different mobs. 30 - 50 zombies, 10 - 20 skeletons, 10 - 15 spiders.
Event: Wave Three! You hear a larger band of monsters, the sounds appear to be coming from the northern tower!
Wave Three is a tiny bit harder than the first waves. 40 - 60 zombies, 25 - 40 skeletons, 30 - 35 spiders.
Event: Wave Four! The dead return from the underworld with a raging hate to slay those who had slain them! They scream with rage at the Front gate and the Eastern Farms.
Wave four is more challenging than the rest for two checkpoints are under siege. Front gate has 30 - 40 zombies, 30 - 40 skeletons. Eastern farms has 20 - 40 zombies, 10 - 20 skeletons, 25 - 40 spiders.
And so on...
This place does not exist, I just made up the checkpoints to help give a better understanding of my idea and what it would be like.
Players would have to find their own way to the village. IE: A port, walking, a teleport from an admin.
Players would have to bring their own gear and the server would not be responsible for any lost of items.
PvP would be frowned upon for it would be horrible rp unless the attacking party had a VALID roleplay reason.
