I think the mage class is a little underpowered, although I haven't got bolt yet so I don't know about that I just think that we should either be able to use diamond hoes or make iron ones hit a little harder to even out the classes and mobs, maybe have a skill that increases damage of spells or hoes for say 20 seconds?

I hurled a fireball at a zombie-waited for fire to die down->another fireball->another fireball... kept on doing this for AGES... zombie still not dead

Ok, ill admit, I am raging over this, but a Im not trying to be mean. Ill say this is the best way I can. Warriors are Terrible. I feel like the whole aspect we've based them on is off. In my mind, and in WoW (which alot of our Heros stuff has derived from) Warriors are and combo of DPS and Tank, not just tank like in AoC. I was talking in staff chat about how Bleed doesnt do anything half the time (may be a bug), and Taunt is only good against mobs. They proceeded to tell me that you can lure mobs with Taunt to kill enemies. This seems cheap to me, and goes against the very principles of Warriors. Warriors are the basic run up and swing, no strategy at all, but I feel we cant actually do that without dieing repeatedly.
Much of this frustration arose while fighting a Mage. They, and most other mages, feel they are so powerful, when in reality, all they do is run away and fireball. While this may be 'kiting' or whatever, its unfair to Warriors and low level Rogues (high levels can slow targets). If mages are such a 'support class', then why can they take out multiple people with ease?
Lastly, even if Warriors are suppost to be a tank in AoC, they arnt. Im a level 17, which may not be a high level, still loses 1/2 my health from just 1 level 11 Mage's Fireball, even when I have nearly full iron armor on. So this basically means we're not Tanks OR DPS, just nothing special at all!
EDIT: Another thing I thought of is that Mage is powerful, but also cheap to use. Warriors mostly, but Rogues too have to pay for new weapons/armor. I pay a lot of iron to have full armor and a sword, and still get destoyed by one mage with a wooden hoe. I have no clue how this can be fixed, its just another annoyance
Obviously, im not the best PVPer ever, but I got a lot of kills before Heros was put it, then when it came back, I started dieing a lot. I dont know any one way to fix it, just reporting my feelings. And please dont reply with 'Oh, kiting is fine, its a good strategy!'. Whats so strategical about running away, turning around, fireball, rinse and repeat till your targets dead?!?!? Also, dont say 'If you dont like Warrior, choose a different class!' because A) I want to have Warrior equal toward all the other classes, and B ) My RP character entails im a Warrior/Blacksmith, so I really HAVE to do it. Raging complete :3

yeah mobs take like 5-6 hits with an iron sword we need to do something

Actually, Its buggy, ITs a test period btw.. So we might get most -Censored- fixed and killing a zombie with 6 hits with an iron sword.. not cool.. reduce it to 4-3 hits please.. Another thing There should be a new skill, for rogues, like jump 2 blocks, or climb them, Can you add something like it?

Maga and assistant have two skill that are the same it's recall and mark. Maga's come at level 15. while assistant comes at level 20. You guys could replace Maga's recall and mark with heal and freeze or something like that.

Edit: Mabey to combat the fact that Mages are cheap, we could make their spells consume something-a bit like the Runes system in runescape...

I don't know what you mean about mages being op, I'm a mage and everytime I try to use fireball to kill a mob it does almost no damage, I tried 6 fireballs on a chicken before I got bored and killed it and when I used it about 4 times on someone in my town (yes I do know about the town regen) they were perfectly fine, and if you think 6 hits to kill is bad, try being a mage and fight a skele that kills you in 3-4 shots and takes about 8 hits to kill.

Yep fireball is definately UP, but perhaps it won't be so bad if mage gain the ability to cast explosive fireball with a spec... The idea that mages are weak to begin with greatly fits with the rp-many mages have to study for many years beofre being proficient in the secret arts. There is no doubt that mobs are definately OP. If the admins want players to get off the mobs spawners, I would advise that they make the normal method of killing mobs less impossible. And yeah-kiting is a big issue... perhaps it can be possible to make all but the weakest spells slow down the movement of the caster for, say, 1 sec? That way, mages would no longer be cowards that chuck spells as they run...

Your missing my point. Mobs are overpowered for all classes. Im talking about PVP. Mages have several advantages over Close Combat heros. Not only are their attacks extemely ranged, almost like a bow, but the fire damage prohibits sprinting. If i'm charging after a mage, and they hit me with a fireball, not only does it deal a TON of damage (to people, not mobs), the damage system in Minecraft makes you cancel/slowdown, even during a sprint, allowing the mage to run away farther.
And yea, Orman, thats what I was thinking. Either make spells have a charge-UP time (having to stand still for a second to cast), or freeze the mages for a split second/prohibit sprint for a small amount of time after casting (RP wise, 'Concentrating on the spell', or something). Look, I like mages, their a great class, its just Warriors SHOULD be more overall powerful, but limited to close-combat. Even if mages were weaker, the fact that you can snipe with a spell gives a HUGE advantage already.
I was also thinking the whole thing about Taunt. What if that had a larger charge time and mana consumption, but it also slowed the target/prohibited sprint for a second? it makes sense with when someone screams/makes fun of you, you don't want to run away.
Again, im not talking about Mobs. They are OP for all classes, please focus on PVP
