This will serve as a guideline for all players interested in submitting a character bio and being approved for an in-game name.
The following MUST be applied for your bio to be considered.
1: The Bio MUST be submitted in the "Character Bio Submissions" Sub-Forum of the RolePlay forum.
2: The subject of the forum post MUST have your full character name in it. (First, Last, and surnames, etc)
3: This is not required, but is recommended that the bio have a title of some sort. For help with a title, look at bios in the accepted bios forum. This will give your bio an eye-catching feel, and compel others to read your masterpiece.
4: Your bio MUST have proper spelling, grammar, and punctuation. We are not English teachers, but we WILL ask you to make corrections to your bio if there are excessive English mistakes before it is accepted. Nobody will want to read your bio if it's written in the format of a text-message from a six year old.
5: Be creative, but do not makes changes to accepted (aka canon) storylines without approval from admins.
6: We encourage originality, and plagiarizing or out-right copying of well-known characters from other forms of media (AKA Yogscast, Israphel, Xena: Warrior Princess, Star Trek, My Little Pony, Video Games, etc) will not be accepted as a bio, and you will be asked to change it before it is accepted. Additionally, if it is later learned that your bio WAS taken from another media source, it may be retroactively disapproved until it conforms to the guidelines above.
7: This was said above, but I feel the need to reiterate. BE CREATIVE! Use your talents to create a compelling story for the admins, mods, and players to read. A well-written, riveting bio will almost assuredly give you a leg-up on becoming a major part of the AOC story, and subsequently, it's marvelous history.
Good luck, happy writting! See you in Mirugan.
