New Guild App: The Priesthood

Leader: We will use the Catholic church hierarchy to assign positions. So the head will be called the Pope, then Cardinals, Bishops, etc. I Odo.Merek will be the Ponitif Maximus of this new organized religion and kingmii will be the first Cardinal.

Purpose: We are devoted to spread the word of the gods through out Mirugan. We want to make an organized that will encourage more of the religious side of rp and make game play more interesting. We are also devoted to the development of knowledge and learning and will also promote those though books and letters. For Server events/wars we will most likely fight for the people of Mirugan unless it is in direct violation of our beliefs. Also we care for the poor and sick. You might be able to join if you are a doctor/priest.

Needed to join: If you want to join you need to be a priest/darkpriest or have a spec of one of the two. You also need to be recognized as a religious man in rp. You must be able to spell and use correct grammar...we promote knowledge.

Unaccepted: Those that hate the gods/religion and those that are not a priest/darkpriest for heros.

What to expect: You should expect to act as a leader and teacher of religion. You should expect to worship all the gods...yes even Zusuti. You can have a patron god, most of us do, but you must be tolerant to all the other gods as well.

Note: This idea is very new and we would welcome ideas on how this guild can better get involved in rp and in the server. And NO...for those that are wondering if this is my way to create a cult or something, ITS NOT! We are creating an organized religion. Also, If anyone can write more about the gods, that would be very appreciated. Right now we are just going off of Micah's "Gods of Mirugan" post with the 4 gods. If anyone wants to add some history to those gods that would be great, otherwise we will make it up ourselves.

Yea, Ive thought of things like this. This is my idea: Each Continent has their own set of Main Gods and Lesser Gods, for example; The EnderCity Continent (Yet to be Named) will have Terminus as a Main God, Solumnde as a Lesser God. This can go for all continents. But, Im vouching for Zicagmar to be the Main Universal God that MOST will accept, not all of course. Each Capital City can have their own churchs to their Gods, but One Main Cathedral would be made for Zicagmar, and could be the home of the Priest Guild.

As for your guild in particular, I of course like it. But, change the names of the Ranks, no Pope and Cardinal. Do a more Generic Father/Brother/High Priest sort of thing, unless you can come up with different names. As of now, the only priests I know of are You, Kingmii, and one who hasnt been hired as a priest yet, NekoTwilight (http://tinyurl.com/ccquf7g). I cannot official accept this, for it is a pretty big thing, but I'll get Vexx's Opinion also.

One question needs answering before any of us can confirm this. If this were to be accepted, would you renounce your worship of Zasuti? That would kinda be a deal breaker

Like I said, its perfectly fine. I just need to know whether or not you can PERSONALLY let go of Zasuti, and possibly think of a Story Line of how/why you would give up on him in Role Play.

I dont only follow Zusuti now. I worship all the gods as equal. However, Zusuti is my patron god. So I mainly worship him. usually people have their own patron god.

After talking to Nightslash and AKUREIMUSUME!!!!!!!!!!! (She wanted me to mention her, so thats good enough), we came up with something

As you argue, all gods should be equal. I am a bit bias toward Zicagmar, and thats my problem. So, what we have decided is a Council System. Each Main God, which a few more can be added, will have a Head Priest. These Head Priests will make up a Council. People can be a priest for the same God, but only one can be the Head Priest for that God. This will add Voting and a good Organization to the Guild

Another thing we talked about is Zasuti. We have decided that he will be allowed, and I assume Elk will be the Head Priest for him. But, to legitimize the Worship of Zasuti, we think he should be the God of Balance, or in other words, Power to the Weak. Also, you have to stop the whole "REPENT! JOIN ZASUTI!". Actually Preach, and dont portray him as the Evil God we all know him as.

For the Members that I know of so far, You should be Head Zasuti Priest, since Kingmii is the only priest, he'll be Head Zicagmar Priest (For now, unless he can prove himself truely worthy of the spot permanently), and as for Neko, I know she is an Elf and Nature Based, so is she wants to make a Bio for a Nature-Based God, We can look it over, and then she can be head Priest for that God.

yea we got it. I think that the leader should be elected from the council of high priests along with a deputy/assistant (I guess I will play this role for now but my RP character wouldn't like to be in this position for long). The leader should bear the name Pontiff or Pontiff Maximus and like the pope will keep power until death.

We should have a small standing army (this could include players who aren't of priest or dark priest class although they would have to prove dedication to the religion). This would be for protection and also to be used in extreme cases to crush heretics.

I think Zasuti could remain as the god of evil although we should recognize that by being the god of evil he is also the god of the absence of evil.

I think you need to make an application, I don't know you but I think its pretty likely that you will be accepted as we are pretty desperate to get this thing going.
